About
Fae Folk Fibres draws on over a decade of dyeing and wool craft experience under the name Felt Fusion, to bring you exclusive, one off colourways, hand dyed on luxury bases from their home in the East Midlands, England. Colours are inspired by folk tales, myths, legends, old lore and other themes from the British Isles and beyond.
The wool is ethically sourced from UK farms and smallholdings in South American countries. The animals provide the main, if not only, source of income for local families meaning the animals and the staff are well looked after. My yarn does not come from any farms that practice mulesing.
The superwash wool has been treated at a mill which is accredited with the EU Flower and OEKO-TEX 100 and runs a state-of-the-art effluent treatment plant. This means that the water is recycled and when it is discharged it is of better quality than the drinking water you get from the tap! The wool has a resin applied to reduce the likelihood of shrinking and felting, and it does not hinder the biodegradability of the wool.
